Prerequisite: Completed or currently enrolled in Improv 201 or out-of town performer.*
SPECIAL DCM WORKSHOP: Kick-ass Character Class with Jodi Lennon
Just as sketch writers must perfect their writers packets, sketch actors must perfect their character work. This class will focus on providing the skills needed to create rich characters and impersonations and introduce strategies and tips for easily calling up the characters that you've created and applying them intelligently to live performances, videos and auditions.
PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR THESE DCM WORKSHOPS. READ THE POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTERING AND ENROLLING
Maximum class size is 16.
* You must be listed on the DCM website as a performer in a group from out of town to enroll. The registrar will check for your name and if you are not listed when you enroll, you will be removed from the workshop and lose $50.
Jodi Lennon, Teacher
Lennon originated roles in the Obie award-winning and Aspen Comedy Festival One Woman Shoe and the Lincoln Center Festivals Incident at Cobbler's Knob, both by Amy and David Sedaris. She also played iconic characters in many Tweed Productions, fractured classic series, including Imitation of Life, Interiors, Night Mother, A Raisin In The Sun just to name a few. Lennon has performed at the UCBT in such shows as Asssscat, Letâ€™s Have A Ball, Lennon & McCartney Live, and The Goof Around Gang and Chica GoGo.
She has written on various tv shows including, Impractical Jokers and Billy on the Street.
