Four-Week On-Camera Commercial Class
Taught by Stacy Gallo of Station Film
This is your chance to learn from a casting director from one of New York City’s busiest commercial casting agencies. And best of all, at the end of three weeks of training, you will take your favorite commercial piece and perform it in front of one of New York’s premier commercial agents––who are always looking for new talent!
This class is for any actor, signed or unsigned, union or non-union to brush up on old skills or learn a few new ones. Each class will be geared to a certain segment of advertising copy so you have an overall understanding of the industry and what to expect on any given commercial audition. You will be dealing with fresh, topical commercial copy read by you, just how you would in a real audition––including broadcasting yourself on a TV monitor for the class and instructors to evaluate.
You will learn how to:
NO CLASS AUGUST 10th.
Prerequisite: Completion of Improv 301.
Maximum class size is 15.

Stacy Gallo and Mark Sarian
Stacy Gallo has been a Casting Director in NYC for the past eight years. She is currently working with newly formed Station Film, as well as freelancing her casting talents to many others in the industry. Stacy started Downstairs Casting in 2001, a subdivision of Hungry Man production company. Prior to that she worked as a casting director for MTV. Many commercials Stacy has cast are known for their comedy and improv, and over the past eight years, Stacy has worked on many award-winning commercials, including many memorable Super Bowl spots. Some of her recent credits include; Chevrolet, (Super Bowl) Careerbuilder.com (Super Bowl), Sprint, KMART, Kraft, Comedy Central, H&R Block, and Snickers.
Assistant Teacher: Mark Sarian
Mark brings a fresh, 'actor' interpretation to the class. Allowing students to see, hear, and learn from someone in the business from your side of the camera.
Mark Sarian began his career as a copywriter in advertising; writing, producing and casting radio and some television commercials. He ended his career in advertising as Associate Creative Director at J. Walter Thompson here in NYC working on Merrill Lynch and The Marines. Throughout that time Mark would still perform at night doing stand up and improv. In 2001, Mark turned his full attention to acting and performing. Over the last few years Mark has booked several national network and regional television campaigns: SlimFast, Blockbuster, Imagistics, Citizens Bank, Wendy's. As well as several radio spots; T*MOBILE, Wendy's, Cox.
