La Ronde taught by Brian Faas
La Ronde is series of connected two-person improv scenes that eventually returns to the original character. We will experiment beyond the traditional structure, focusing on characters games, group scenes, and making surprising second beats. To steal from the geniuses at USA Network: "Characters welcome."
La Ronde was developed at iO and is currently performed by The Law Firm. It is also the name of a Six Flags theme park in Montreal, Quebec.
Class does not meet Aug 15
Pre-requisite: To apply, you must have completed one Advanced Study Harold course.
If you are interested in taking this class, send an email to [email protected] with the subject "ASP Ronde 7382 Brian Faas", by 12pm on Friday July 6th. We will review the applicants and send a notice to those who have been accepted by Monday, July 9th.
Do not apply for this course if you can not attend all 8 classes and 4 shows. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR A SPOT IN THIS CLASS UNLESS YOU PLAN TO TAKE IT!
Maximum class size is 16.

Brian Faas, Teacher
Brian Faas has been a resident improviser at UCB since 2006, and currently performs on Friday nights with The Law Firm. On stage, he has appeared in "KILLGORE", "The Same Sex-tacular!", and the Harold teams Tantrum, The Fucking Kennedys, Scootch, and Bastian.
You may have also seen his face on Fuse, Comedy Central, and Vh1, where he spent several seasons as a cast member on "Best Week Ever." Brian studied film at Brown University, and hails from Roswell, Georgia.
