Improv 101: Improv Basics

Students will learn the fundamentals of long-form improvisation including: agreement, active listening, playing characters, playing truthfully and to the top of your intelligence and group mind.
Course meets for 8 sessions, each 3 hours long.
Students will take part in a class performance, generally held at the UCB Theatre.
Students required to see at least 2 improvised shows at the UCB Theater before the end of the course.

Molly Lloyd, Teacher
Molly is an NYC-based actor, currently performing with UCB house teams Stone Cold Fox (Friday nights @ 7:30 pm at UCB Chelsea) and Airwolf (Saturday nights @ 10:30 pm at UCB East). She co-stars in the feature film "My Best Day" (Official Selection, Sundance Film Festival 2012), in the short film "Dear Dog, I Love You," and has appeared on "Delocated" (Adult Swim/ Cartoon Network). You can see her in a number of national TV commercials (usually as the deadpan mom), and in videos on such sites as College Humor, Funny or Die, and Atom.com. She is a member of the Brooklyn-based theatre collective The Artful Conspirators (www.artfulconspirators.org [artfulconspirators.org]), and has performed at regional theatres from Providence RI to Fort Worth TX.
Molly lives in Brooklyn and has the greatest dog on earth.
