Students will learn the fundamentals of long-form improvisation including: agreement, active listening, playing characters, playing truthfully and to the top of your intelligence and group mind.
Course meets for 8 sessions, each 3 hours long.
Students will take part in a class performance, generally held at the UCB Theatre.
Students required to see at least 2 improvised shows at the UCB Theater before the end of the course.

Ben Rameaka, Teacher
Ben Rameaka is an improviser, actor and voice over artist. He has a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Vermont and an MFA from the now defunct Actor's Studio program at the New School. He has been in many UCB productions including KILLGORE, Greatest Concert Ever, and the hit show "Waiting For Obama: A Night At The Hall Of Presidents" which went to the San Francisco Sketchfest. He performs on the UCB house team Airwolf every Saturday night. He has done voiceovers for Bullfrog Suntan Lotion, Trojan Condoms, Popeye's Chicken, D'Angelo's and a couple other restaurants but no other prophylactic companies. He also has a micro part in Amazon.com's original pilot "Alpha House."
