Students will learn the fundamentals of long-form improvisation including: agreement, active listening, playing characters, playing truthfully and to the top of your intelligence and group mind.
Course meets for 8 sessions, each 3 hours long.
Students will take part in a class performance, generally held at the UCB Theatre.
Students required to see at least 2 improvised shows at the UCB Theater before the end of the course.

Jordan Klepper, Teacher
Jordan Klepper spent a good chunk of time in Chicago where he was an original member of the long running shows "Whirled News Tonight," "The Late Night Late Show," as well as the "Beatbox." At the i.O. Theatre he played regularly with "The Armando Diaz Experience," veteran Harold team (and Del Close Award Winning Best Harold Team) "Carl and the Passions" and "Bullet Lounge." He toured the world with the Second City National Touring Company, as well as performing in the "Second City Improv All-Stars."
At the UCB, Jordan has performed multiple shows with the sketch group "Steve and Jordan," the show "Baggage" with Klepper and Grey and the sketch show "Guilty Bystanders." On the improv side, he performed in "Key Party" and with the Harold teams "Still Mike," "The Pox, " and "Salmon Diane." He currently performs on the team "The Stepfathers"
In addition to sketch and improv, Jordan was a correspondent on the comedic sports show "Friday Night Tailgate" on the Big Ten Network for three seasons. He can be seen on MTV's "I Just Want My Pants Back" and on "Bunk" on IFC.
