Take your musical improv to the next level. We will work on crafting songs that you want to sing - having more control in your song so you can do anything and everything that you want to do with it. Students will learn to use songs to heighten the game of the scene. We will also look at show structures and musical theatre genres, composers, and archetypes and learn how to apply them to your work.
Maximum class size is 12.
Morgan Phillips, Teacher
Morgan has been studying and performing improv comedy since 1994. He can currently be seen on Fridays at 9pm with Diamond Lion (UCBeast), and sporadically with his indie team Get Paid (various seedy locations). Past groups include the touring company of Baby Wants Candy, the touring company and mainstage cast of Chicago City Limits, and Swarthmore College's Vertigo-Go.
