Video Sketch
This class will focus on writing scripts for different kinds of videos, with an emphasis on volume of scripts. Students will leave class with three scripts ready to be shot and ready to be included in submission packets for UCB Beta teams (the theater's house video teams) or elsewhere.
Pre-requisite: Completion of Sketch 201

Zack Phillips, Teacher

Zack Phillips is a writer on the UCB sketch team Beige, a performer on the UCB improv team Grammer, and a former writer-director on two UCB video teams. Elsewhere, Zack is a contributor to the Onion's topical videos, a contributor to Funny or Die, a former staff writer for The Onion sports show GOOMF, and the writer of over 40 comedic web videos for UCB and others. He co-wrote and -starred in Good Dads, a sitcom pilot accepted into the 2013 New York Television Festival. Zack began studying at UCB in 2008. Previously he did comedy at Washington Improv Theater and at Haverford College. He thinks his Cincinnati Reds are looking good for this season but he thinks that every year.
