SPECIAL DCM WORKSHOP: Shoot First, Justify Later with Neil Casey
This workshop focuses on doing the move your gut tells you to, and then making it make sense.
PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR THESE DCM WORKSHOPS. READ THE POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTERING AND ENROLLING!
Maximum class size is 16.
* You must be listed on the DCM website as a performer in a group from out of town to enroll. The registrar will check for your name and if you are not listed when you enroll, you will be removed from the workshop and lose $50.
Neil Casey, Teacher
He has improvised in dozens of main stage shows at the UCB including Monkeydick, Instant Cinema, Death By Roo Roo, and ASSSSCAT.
He also improvises as one quarter of Krompf and one half of the Two Man Movie and the shorter of the duo Casey & Woods.
Neil has written and acted in many sketch shows over the years including Your Favorite Thing, Neil Casey's Sentimental Irish Christmas and Small Men
He has directed dozens of shows including Katie Dippold's One-Woman Murder Mystery, God's Pottery Saves the World, Waiting For Obama: A Night at the Hall of Presidentsand many other sketch reviews, variety shows, showcases, and monthly house team productions.
Neil wrote for Season 38 of Saturday Night Live, Season 2 of Inside Amy Schumer, and Season 3 of Kroll Show. He has been nominated for two WGA Awards and two Prime-Time Emmy Awards.
He has appeared on Saturday Night Live on NBC in a giraffe costume, Fat Guy Stuck in Internet on Adult Swim,Inside Amy Schumer, Broad City, The League and Kroll Show on Comedy Central, Playing House on USA and on the big screen in Derrick Comedy's Mystery Team, the upcoming Brother's Keeper and Fort Tilden which won the the Grand Jury Award at the 2014 SxSW Film Festival.

Neil has a degree in English with a concentration in Drama and a minor in Theatre from the University of Delaware where he studied stage directing under internationally renowned director and Brecht scholar Dr. Heinz-Uwe Haus. He studied improv under Armando Diaz, Michael Delaney, Kevin Mullaney, Owen Burke, Ian Roberts and Matt Walsh.
