Improv to Sketch
Ever had a great improvised scene that you never used again? Ever stared at your computer screen trying to come up with an idea for a sketch? We will explore taking the spontaneity and creativity of improv and adding the precision and polish of sketch.
This class will be split into two 6 person casts. Each cast will improvise around themes of their choosing and then develop their favorite ideas into two 25 minute sketch shows. Lots of outside writing and some rehearsing will be required.
Students must be accepted into the Advanced Study improv program and have completed Sketch 101 to apply for a spot in this class. For more information on Advanced Study, see this page: http://newyork.ucbtheatre.com/classes/advanced
