Improv 101: Improv Basics

- Saturdays 11:30am-2:30pm and 3:30-6:30pm

Students will learn the fundamentals of long-form improvisation including: agreement, active listening, playing characters, playing truthfully and to the top of your intelligence and group mind.
Course meets for 8 sessions, each 3 hours long.
Students will take part in a class performance, generally held at the UCB Theatre.
Students required to see at least 2 improvised shows at the UCB Theater before the end of the course.
Class Size: 16 Students
This class meets twice on each Saturday. The morning session is 11:30am-2:30pm. The afternoon session is 3:30-6:30pm.
Please note you should be available for all four Saturdays.
Laura Grey, Teacher
At UCB she performs on Harold Night with (most recently) Salmon Diane and Grammer. In her spare time she procrastinates from all adult tasks by writing videos with the sketch duo Klepper and Grey. Laura has a degree in drama and creative writing from Northwestern University. She likes stuff, in general.
