Because of extremely high demand, it's difficult to sign up for a UCB class.

Here's what to expect:
  • Classes sell out very quickly, sometimes less than a minute.
  • If you don't see a class that fits your schedule, we probably offer it but it's sold out.
  • New classes go online Mondays and Wednesdays.
  • To see what's available next, check our message board Sunday and Tuesday nights.
  • We offer classes morning, afternoon and evenings 7 days a week.

Our long-form improv program has four courses. Each one has eight three-hour sessions and at least one performance at the UCB Theatre. They generally cost $350. Special one and two-week long "intensive" versions cost more.

Improv 101 through Improv 401 make up our core Improv Program. In these courses you will learn how to improvise game-based comedic scenes and the Long Form structure known as the 'Harold.' Successful completion of Improv 401 allows you to apply for our Advanced Study program.
