Kevin Mullaney

Kevin Mullaney came to us from the ImprovOlympic in Chicago, where he was a performer, teacher and director for 6 years. There he studied under Del Close, Matt Besser, Adam McKay and Miles Stroth. He founded the ImprovOlympic touring company in 1997 and directed it for two years.

In 1999, he moved to New York to teach for the UCB when they opened their first theatre on 22nd Street. He has directed several shows at the UCBT including "Tami Boy" (which was presented at the 2002 U.S. Comedy Arts Festival), "I Thought You Were Dead", "Individually Wrapped" "Tracers", "Retraced" and the Swarm in "Slow Waltz Around Rage Mountain." He created the CageMatch which now runs in several cities in the US and Canada. He is a former artistic director of the UCB Theatre (2001-2003) and ran the UCB Training Center (2003-2005).

He is the Artistic Director of the Chicago Improv Festival, the host of the Improv Resource Center Podcast and webmaster of the Improv Resource Center. He currently performs and teaches in Chicago.
