Dru Johnston

Dru Johnston is a performer, writer and improvisor at UCB as well as a head writer for the Chris Gethard Show currently on MNN networks. As an improvisor he performs on Grandma's Ashes every Saturday night and was a member of Harold Team Sandino, and as a sketch writer and performer he has appeared in numerous Maude teams and can now be seen on the Maude Team Bellevue as well as in his Billy Joel Sketch Show: Sketches From An Italian Restaurant.

Dru has studied sketch at UCB since 2008, and has been taught by Donald Glover, Michael Delaney, Chris Kelly and Ryan Karels. He has studied improv with countless teachers including Chris Gethard, Anthony King, Michael Delaney, Joe Wengert and Shannon O'Neill. He holds a degree in theatre from Whitman College.
