Beth Appel
Beth Appel is a performer, writer, and director living in New York City. She has been studying sketch and improv at UCB since 2004. Beth currently writes for the UCB Maude Team NEIGHBOR BOY. At UCB she has performed in THIS IS NOT A SKETCH SHOW: A SKETCH SHOW, THE SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP NYPD VARIETY HOUR, BRAD SACKS GETS A HAND JOB (which she also directed) and as a member of UCB Harold Teams MONSTRO and CAPTCHA. She has directed numerous sketch shows, including THE BACHELOR: ROSES, ROMANCE, AND ROSES, which is currently running at UCB.
Beth can be seen performing with the improv group SHARK TANK every month at the Parkside Lounge and she makes funny videos with THE BASEMENT and THE BRIAN PROJECT. Beth is a contributor to various websites including Jest.com and Paperless Post, and she blogs for theHuffington Post just like fellow comedian Larry David.
Beth graduated from Vassar College where she was a member of the not at all embarrassingly named sketch comedy group HAPPILY EVER LAUGHTER.
