SPECIAL DCM WORKSHOP: The Sleep Over with James Eason 

Learn to create and develop a character that is sustainable for an entire long form show. Exercises will help to point you in n new directions for discovery and to focus more on your partner than your own thoughts.  In addition, students will learn the Sleep Over, a form created by Mother which ran for eight years in New York. 

* You must be listed on the DCM website as a performer in a group from out of town to enroll.  The registrar will check for your name and if you are not listed when you enroll, you will be removed from the workshop and lose $55.

James Eason, teacher

James Eason James Eason has appeared in the films The Music Never Stopped, The Queen of Media, Astonishing X-Men: Gifted, Joseph's Wives, and Running with Scissors. He has also appeared on ABC's Happy Endings, NBC's Kidnapped, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and Comedy Central's The Upright Citizens Brigade. He studied improv with each of the four UCB, Armando Diaz, Kevin Mullaney, TJ & Dave, and members of the Annoyance Theater. He has also studied acting at Atlantic Theatre School, T. Schrieber Studios, Tom Todoroff Studios, and with Bob Krakower. James is a founding member of the long-running UCB improv team Mother, who created the Sleep Over and Soundtrack. He has also performed with other notable groups/shows in New York (Harold Night, Cagematch, Neutrino Video Projects, Gravid Water, The Deconstruction, Tiny Spectacular, The Armando Diaz Experience, Ms. Jackson, et al).
