Writing and Producing a Web Series

Ever wanted to write a web series but have no idea how to get it started? Then you're in luck! During the 8 weeks of this class, you will develop, outline, write and learn how to produce an entire web series. We will develop the series from the earliest points of taking a comedic idea and making a show around it. Throughout the class we will discuss everything needed to make a series; how many episodes your series calls for, how long they should be, the tone of the show, all the locations needed, how much it will cost, how many crew members you will need and much more. This will be a collaborative class as your fellow classmates will be there to help you punch up scripts, much like a TV writers room. This is a class to show the world your comedic voice and have it live online for anyone to see.

Come to the first class with 5 pitches for a potential web series you want to write and something to take notes on, whether it's a computer or notepad.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Sketch 201

Does not meet September 24, October 22 or November 26.
