SPECIAL DCM WORKSHOP: People of Color Monoscenes with Caroline Martin

In this workshop students of color will learn the long form structure: monoscene!  They'll establish characters, weave a narrative, and create lush worlds that are continuous with other improvisers of color.  But like... Wakanda ya know?

* You must be listed on the DCM website as a performer in a group from out of town to enroll.  The registrar will check for your name and if you are not listed when you enroll, you will be removed from the workshop and lose $55.

Caroline Fiona Martin, teacher

CAROLINE MARTIN is an improviser, writer, and lover of cheese. She performs improv with the Curfew on Saturday nights at UCBTNY. She's a 2016 Comedy Central Comic to Watch for sketch. Previously she performed improv on Harold Night and LLoyd Night at UCBTNY. She performed and wrote characters on "Characters Welcome" and was an actor on the UCBTNY sketch team Monaco on Maude Night. She was the winner of the 2014 NBC & UCB Diversity Scholarship Showcase and performed on The Peoples Improv Theater house teams Divo and Timber. Caroline teaches improv comedy at UCB and received a B.A. in Ethnic Studies from Brown University.
