Storytelling workshop

Learn to tell your story. This workshop will cover the basics of story telling and will allow each student the chance to get up in front of the class and shape a 5 minute real life story. This workshop will focus on the story of "Coming Out" which can mean coming out of the closet about your sexuality, gender, or basically anything else that you hid before but welcome discussing now!

Pre-requisite: Completion of Improv 201 or equivalent experience.

This class is for LGBTQIA+ identifying improvisers only.

Jeff Hiller Jeff Hiller performs at UCB with The Curfew and ASSSCAT. They have been on Harold teams Creep, PeoplePeople and Police Chief Rumble (ECNY award, best sketch group) and performed in many shows including The Last Resort (co-writer), Showgirls: The Best Movie Ever Made. Ever., and Kilgore: The Musical.

Film Includes: Greta, Set It Up, Ghost Town, Morning Glory, Adam, Gayby and The Little Tin Man. Some TV: Kimmy Schmidt, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Broad City, Difficult People, Nightcap, Playing House, The Hotwives..., Your Pretty Face..., Community, 30 Rock (twice), Law and Order: Criminal Intent, The McCarthy's, Psych, Bored to Death, Ugly Betty, Boiling Points, and as the voice of Nano the Robot on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

NY Theatre: Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson (Broadway and Public Theatre production), Silence (also in Los Angeles), Bright Colors and Bold Patterns, Heartbreak House, Encores' Lady Be Good, Shakespeare in the Park: "Love's Labours Lost" (Nathanial), "Midsummer.." As a story teller they have performed with The Moth, Risk!, Nights of Our Lives, and with full length show, Grief Bacon at Joe's Pub.

Before becoming an actor, Jeff was a social worker in Denver, Colorado (seriously).
