Each advanced study course is instructor-driven. Students will get to study the Harold and related performance pieces and will receive personal feedback about their own performance and progress as improvisers.
Classic Harolds

Using a pattern game opening this class will focus on performing classic Harolds. Upgrade your skill set by practicing the pattern game, initiating with premise, creating fun and supportive group games, landing in your second beats with behavior, destroying third beats and sharpening your longview.

Students must have successfully completed Improv 401 to apply for a spot in this class. Students will be selected from all qualified applicants with a randomizing tool.

Students who have taken 4 or more Advanced Study classes in the past 12 months should not apply for this course. Also, this course will count as one of your four Advanced Study courses for the year.

Note: Meets during week of Passover.

Ben Rameaka, teacher

Ben Rameaka Ben Rameaka is an improviser, actor and voice over artist. He co-hosts UCB's Teacher Feature every Wednesday night and performs on the UCB house team Airwolf every Saturday night. He played James Whippy in's "Alpha House" and "Stratton Broker #6" in Martin Scorcese's Wolf Of Wall Street.
