Understanding the fundamentals will be achieved through exercises and scene work in class, seeing improv shows at UCB Theatre and reading the UCB Comedy Improvisation Manual.
Students are required to see at least 2 improvised shows at UCB Theatre before the end of the course.
Course meets for 8 sessions, each 3 hours long.
Students will take part in a class performance, generally held at UCB Theatre.

Jake Cornell is an actor and comedian based in New York City. He performs every other Tuesday on Harold Night with his team, Promises. He has been seen on College Humor, MTV News, and Logotv.com as well as hosting the game show Finish The Hit on Billboard. He produces and hosts Queer Therapy Live, an all queer variety show happening monthly at Caveat in the Lower East Side.
