Students will learn the fundamentals of long-form improvisation
including: agreement, active listening, playing characters, playing
truthfully and to the top of your intelligence and group mind.
Understanding the fundamentals will be achieved through exercises and
scene work in class.
Course meets for 8 sessions, each 2 hours long.
Students should have access to a computer and stable, robust internet access, webcam & microphone.
This
online course uses Google Classroom and Google Meet programs to conduct
live sessions with your instructor and fellow students.

Drew DiFonzo Marks has been on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Comedy Bang! Bang!, HBO's Funny or Die Presents, Reno911!, and alot of dumb commercials. He is the co-creator, producer, and writer of the web-series "2Bed/1Bath" with over 1 million views, and a former writer for Comedy Central Digital.
He has been with UCB since 2003 and is on the teaching faculty. He took a year abroad to go write/perform at the 'Boom Chicago' comedy theatre in Amsterdam.
He performs improv every Thursday at 11 with his team "Last Day of School".
