Sketch 201: Writer's Room

Students must bring a sketch to the FIRST session of class. This sketch should be no longer than four pages. This first sketch should be written utilizing the concept of the "Game of the Scene," taught in Sketch 101. Students should be prepared to devote time outside of class to completing new writing assignments for every session.
The class will end with each student receiving individual feedback from the instructor on their own sketch packet.
Students will be required to see two live sketch shows before the end of the course.
Note: Meets during Hanukkah. Does not meet December 23. Meets weekends of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and Presidents Day. Does not meet February 3.

Stephanie Bencin is a writer for the UCB Maude team Arbuckle. She was previously on the Maude Team Slow Burn,and has studied with Joe Wengert, Curtis Gwinn, Erik Tanouye, PeterGwinn, Michael Showalter, Adam Wade, and Eric Scott. Stephanie hasworked extensively in documentary film, and her credits include theAmerican Masters episode Good Ol Charles Schulz. and the ESPN documentary Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. the New York Knicks.Registration Unavailable
